At the heart of our Chef & Brewer is the chef who delights in creating daily changing Specials using fresh ingredients. Selected for their seasonality, our ingredients really matter to us. Combined with care and freshly cooked for you, our dishes deliver the best of traditional pub food and more.  The Fox is situated towards the edge of the rural village of Boars Hill, about six miles from Oxford. This traditional looking destination food house has wooden beams and open fires to make for a warm, sociable ambiance and was fully refurbished in Autumn 2010. Outside there is a beer garden and attractive floral displays during the summer to welcome all newcomers to this rather special venue where you can enjoy your meal by candlelight! Like all Chef & Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair! You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines. There is a small base of regulars from the local village. Many come to enjoy one of the choice real ales or other products available at the bar, but most of our custom arrives from further afield, drawn by the recollection of previous tasty offerings found here!
