Himley House PhotoA 17th Century building, which used to be part of the Himley Hall Estate, the Himley House is steeped in history and famous because Edward and Mrs Simpson honeymooned here.  We had a repaint in October 2009 to give us a fresh new look.  We are situated by the busy A449, not far from the West Midlands Safari Park which is only 6 to 7 miles away.  The village of Himley is quite small, close to Dudley, Bridgend and Wolverhampton.  Set in three acres of grounds and surrounded by countryside this Chef & Brewer is open plan, having a traditional appearance with original features such as wooden beams and two real fires in the bar area.  There is a separate bar and restaurant, the latter operating full table service after 6pm.  In the evenings, to create the right ambiance, candles are lit on the tables for diners.  We have a good reputation for food with an extensive Chef & Brewer menu and excellent homemade Specials to choose from.  Our accommodation, which was refurbished to a high standard in 2007, includes all sizes of rooms.  The family rooms are split into two areas making it easier for sleeping arrangements.  We welcome a mixture of clientele with people coming here to enjoy a drink or a quality meal alone or with friends.  Why not try us out soon.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
