The Wheatsheaf
Inn is about 200 years old and has been sympathetically extended
to a traditional
theme with lovely features such as an open fire and wood burning stove.
There are wooden beams and a mixture of fairly dark
rustic furniture which all help to give our pub a cosy feel. Refurbished
in Spring 2011, we now have an extended dining area, new bar, coffee
station and light and airy colour scheme. Lower Woodford village
is quite small. As we have houses and a few businesses around us we
are always pleased to welcome both regulars for a quality pint and
business people who pop in for lunch. We are half way between Stonehenge and Salisbury on the smallest
back road - a proper country lane! The pub is in quite a rural
position with lovely walks which are ideal for cycling on and walking
the dog. Our well established bar team will always give you good
service. The quality meals served, including a Sunday roast, attracts families at
the weekend. We have a separate children's menu and our garden has a
fence around it. Come and join us soon. |
