Steam Railway Co Photo

The Steam Railway Co is to be found in the old town of Swindon, ten minutes from the centre.  As the name implies the pub has plenty of history relating to the railways, including old signs on the walls of the main bar.  This old looking venue is traditional with wood furniture, slate and wooden floors and an open fireplace in the Ale bar, home to the regulars, where the fire is lit on those cold wintry nights!  We are well known in the area for our quality real ales.  We have Cask Marque status showing we serve them to the highest standard.  There is a family room and the main bar area is where the younger clientele gather to enjoy the Sports facilities and watch a match.  Part of the Pub Watch Scheme, this is a trouble free pub where people often meet before going into town at weekends.  Food is served from a main menu and Specials board which can be eaten anywhere in the pub or out in the beer garden, weather permitting.  Entertainment includes a weekly quiz and live bands.  Come and see us soon.
