The historic Mary Arden Inn is just 3
miles outside Stratford upon Avon situated in the affluent village of
Wilmcote. This splendid building dates back to the 1700's and is
adjacent to Shakespeare's mothers "Mary Arden's" house.
The pub is very traditional with original features such as an open fireplace, oak beams, wooden
and stone floors. It even has an authentic 40 foot well actually in the pub, which is
covered by glass to allow customers to walk over it. Should you choose to
stay with us you will be very comfortable and feel at home. All our rooms
were refurbished in 2002 and include many mod cons. There are four poster rooms
available and for an extra special stay a 4 poster suite which includes a Jacuzzi,
Wide screen TV and DVD player. If you are hungry you could pop in and
sample one of our delicious traditional homemade meals, or top up with a
snack from our light bite menu. We are sure this will guarantee a
visit from you again!
The restaurant can also be hired out for private dinner parties of up to
30 people or we have a separate small function room which holds up to 10.
This is ideal for meetings and private dinners. Whatever your
reason for visiting us we, along with our friendly staff, will guarantee
you the warmest of welcomes and an unforgettable stay.
