The
Kings Head
is a friendly traditional pub, very popular with ramblers and walkers,
located in the attractive village of Cubbington. Historically,
Jane Austin's
brother was vicar of St Mary's Church which is just across the road. Outside there is seating to the
front of the pub and a patio to the rear which has the benefit of an awning
and heating. The pub has a
reputation for good home cooked food using local produce wherever possible.
There is a regularly changing menu and a traditional Sunday roast which many
ramblers call in mid-walk to enjoy. We
were awarded the High Quality Food Champion of the Year award by the
Publican for 2006 - 2007. Our clientele include local regulars and
many who pass this way to and from Stoneleigh Park. We serve an
excellent choice of beers, lagers and real ales along with a good variety of
wines and spirits. With a darts board, pool table and plasma screen,
Sport is always on the agenda so be sure to call in and meet the team at
this sociable pub in the near future. |
