Clarendon House
Hotel is situated in
the heart of England at the centre of the Kenilworth Conservation Area.
The original timber framed "Castle Tavern" which is incorporated into the hotel,
dates back 500 years to 1430 and to this day we are still supported by the old oak tree
around which it was built. The tavern prospered through Elizabethan times
being situated on the main route to Kenilworth Castle.
It was
regularly used as a billet in the 17th Century for Cromwell's troops
during the siege of the castle. Nowadays we offer plenty of accommodation
with each bedroom elegant and comfortably furnished. All are en-suite with full
facilities. The centrepiece bar and
brasserie are open daily for fresh snacks or more
substantial meals. These are made all the more enjoyable by the very
authentic surroundings. Our friendly and very welcoming staff will
ensure you have a pleasant stay whether it's for a quick drink, an evening
meal or as a resident guest. We hope to see you soon.
