Bear PhotoThe 21st Century has brought with it many technological advances, but one thing that has remained the same is customers' desire to enjoy a good drink and freshly cooked meal with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere.  This desire is the foundation that The Bear at Bilton is built upon.  At The Bear we aim to cater for customers who are seeking a mouth-watering menu washed down with a wide ranging selection of beers, wines and ales within a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  We pride ourselves on the freshly prepared meals cooked to order, which really do have that 'homemade' taste. The bear is so popular that Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Eve are all booked up for the next 3 years! We use the freshest produce available in the meals that we serve to ensure each time you visit, the quality of your food is unquestionable.

When the family partnership took control of The Bear in August 1999, the last thing that was on their minds was setting up sports teams.  The partnership's main focus was to get the business up and running.  The story of why the sports teams were established is quite a straightforward one.  The way that all of the teams came into being was through people asking whether The Bear would be interested in sponsoring their teams kit.  It soon became clear to us the potential benefits of having sports teams associated with the pub, and in the new owners first year 'The Bear FC' was established.  The football team has proved highly successful in getting people involved and also in encouraging team members and their friends to socialise at The Bear.  In 2000 the pub started it's first netball team.  These have been highly successful on and off the pitch.  In their first season the ladies won promotion from the Rugby and District 3rd Division, by going up as champions!  The netball team was so popular that in 2001, The Bear decided to set up a second team, the netball 'B team'.  Success off the pitch can be seen through the great friendships that have grown within the teams.  In addition to the football and netball teams, The Bear also supports darts and pool teams.  Sports are shown in the pub and as we have all round good facilities everyone can feel at home.  The staff and regulars look forward to welcoming you here soon.
