Whitelocks Photo

Whitelock's is Leeds oldest pub and still retains most of its original features; the first license was granted in 1715. Whitelock's was awarded the 100th 'Leeds Civic Trust Blue Plaque' for historical importance in 2006. The plaque was unveiled by Sarah Whitlock, a descendant of John Lupton Whitelock - Landlord and licensee 1867. The Whitelock's serves excellent food and up to eight cask ales, including four guest ales. We are a popular meeting place for people of all ages and we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and warm atmosphere.  We have an extensive beer garden, perfect for the summer and a top bar which can be hired for private functions.  Find us in CAMRA Good Beer Guide and the AA Guide to Good Pubs.  We are situated just up from Marks and Spencer on Briggate. Beverley and her friendly team welcome customers new and old to 'the' landmark pub for Leeds city Centre.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
