Whitelock's is Leeds oldest pub and still retains most of its original features; the first license was granted in 1715.  Whitelock's was awarded the 100th 'Leeds Civic Trust Blue Plaque' for historical importance in 2006.  The plaque was unveiled by Sarah Whitelock, a descendant of John Lupton Whitelock - Landlord and licensee in 1867.
