Scotts Arms pub Sicklinghall, WetherbyThe Scotts Arms is the only pub in the pretty village of Sicklinghall, near Wetherby. Historically this Grade II listed building was originally three cottages converted into a pub with parts dating back to 1685.  In those days it was a Coaching Inn, for people travelling to and from Harewood House.  Refurbished in Winter 2011 we have kept the traditional look but now have an extra fire and feature fire surround which looks good when you walk in.  Inside there is a very olde worlde raised bar area, three other separate areas, two of which have open fires and another gas fire with a lovely brick fireplace which is quite a feature.  Today this is a destination food house, with plenty of dining space.  There is also a good base of local regulars and during the summer months the local cricket team meets here every week.  We welcome walkers and cyclists to use our car park for the duration of their excursions and join us for a drink and a bite to eat afterwards.  Outside, the large beer garden overlooks fields and in summer floral displays make this a picturesque pub.  Many TV series have been filmed here, including A Touch of Frost.  Our food can be chosen from a main menu plus unique Specials from the chalk boards.  You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order.  To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or real ales and other drinks are available at the bar. People find this venue very inviting, relaxed and cosy and often return whenever they can.  Make sure you try us out at the earliest opportunity. You too will become a regular, we are sure!!
