Chef & BrewerLocated beside the River Calder, just off Junction 25 of the M62, you will find The Old Mill.  The Galpharm Stadium (formerly McAlpine Stadium) is only 2 miles away.  This makes this a unique venue and a place to be visited very soon.  Outside, the extensive garden has lovely views over the river and there is seating for about 100 people.  With a history that goes right back to the Doomsday book, where we are mentioned as a flour mill in 1086, the building has retained its olde worlde traditional appearance.  This includes off set rooms, two log fires, candles on the tables and soft background music.  We are a destination food house which seats about 160 but also a super place to call in just for a drink with friends or family.  You can even taste the Old Mill beer which is brewed by the Yorkshire Brewing Company.  During the week our clientele is very mixed with many office workers spending their lunch break with us, whereas at weekends we welcome families having a day out.  Like all Chef & Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities.  The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair!  You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order.  The chefs create fish specials which have to be tasted.  To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or real ales and other drinks are available at the bar.  With so much on offer here, your first visit will be the start of many to come!
