We’re proud to serve the very best
of British meats from our Carvery. All of our joints are sourced
from British Red Tractor Assured farms.
Our Carvery selection changes daily
and today’s roasted joints will be usually a choice of 3 of the
following:
Matured Saxon British beef, Norfolk turkey, Stuffed belly of
pork, Outdoor bred gammon,
West Country shoulder of lamb.
All served with a homemade Yorkshire
pudding, chipolata sausage and stuffing, accompanied by your
choice of freshly prepared vegetables and topped off with our
roast onion (v) or roast meat gravy. Don’t forget to help
yourself to our selection of condiments.
Monday to Saturday £7.95.
Sunday £8.95.
If you do not fancy a Carvery meal
our Table menu has a comprehensive range of the best pub food
dishes. Why not try our 'Homemade Pie of the Day' served with
your choice of Carvery vegetables. |

 The Nags Head
has the advantage of being easily
accessible from the M62 and yet in the middle of nowhere near the village
of Fixby, just a few miles from the McAlpine Stadium. Built in the 17th Century,
the Nags Head was originally two cottages and a barn.
Today this destination food house is a mixture of contemporary and
traditional. Old oak beams, open fires and quality hardwood
flooring, along with fine leather armchairs and quality furniture, give atmosphere and create a
cosy, welcoming ambience. The new contemporary style carvery,
offers a choice of fresh vegetables and traditional
accompaniments. All our meat is British farm
assured and produce sourced in the UK so you can be sure of quality. For those just wanting a snack or lighter
meal we have choices from a separate menu which is available all day.
Select a fine wine or real ale to accompany your meal and you will
have an experience to remember. During the summer you can enjoy the sunshine
out on our Patio Area. Whatever the time of year, the Nags Head is a
quality public house not to be passed by. The friendly
