The Half Moon in Collingham, near Wetherby, has a cottage style appearance with a conservatory tastefully added which partly overlooks the large beer garden with a beck running along the bottom.  This is a great local pub with it's olde worlde tap room.  It offers quality traditional pub fayre and drinks selection in the more modern restaurant.  There is seating for 50 diners and our tap room can hold approximately 80-100 people with it's own resident, our parrot, which is certainly a talking point!  There is room to enjoy a drink at the bar before dining and we are popular with both the local regulars and passers by.  We have a regular trade throughout the day with many enjoying an early evening meal and then staying into the evening to enjoy a drink in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  There is a local cricket club close by, hence our link to the cricket memorabilia and we often host parties for them, providing catering.  We welcome any other groups who wish to hold a function.  Our marquee is great for larger functions but for more intimate gatherings, inside is perfect.  Outside we have a patio area with wrought iron furniture where there are 20 tables to enjoy a drink or meal in the warmer months.  Locally there are museums, halls and gardens to enjoy with many walkers taking advantage of the bridleway along the beck which runs at the bottom of our garden.  Families are welcome and our younger visitors, as well as being able to dine, can also be entertained in the play area.  It has swings and a slide with a tree-like feature to play in and out of.  There is a golf course literally minutes away so you will see players popping in for a drink afterwards.  We are very popular venue when the Leeds Festival and racing at Wetherby are on.  Whether you are in a group or on your own you will receive a very warm welcome.  Our staff are aware that service is important, so you will see us actively approaching customers to see if they are happy with our food.  We are proud of our well run kitchen and you are more than welcome to take a look behind the scenes before you dine.  Come and see us soon.
