English Ale Festival in celebration of St George.

Orchid Pubs Homepage

English Ale Festival

We are currently featuring our very own English Ale Festival until the 28th of May with a number of English cask ales to choose from, customers will always be able to try something new or revisit an old favourite.

In addition, we have access to ales brewed locally using the SIBA scheme (Society of Independent Brewers).  Customers are able to try great tasting cask ale from local breweries located a stones throw from the pub!

“We’re really excited about the English Ale Festival, a great way to celebrate a national hero but also to experiment trying out new cask ales!  My current favourite is Timothy Taylor - a smooth, malty, light beer with a bitter/sweet aftertaste.”

We are also giving out free English Ale Festival Newsletters.  Showcasing the history of ale and the brewing process, customers will also be able to enjoy food & ale matching recommendations.

What’s more, a collector scheme is offered where if customers purchase 9 festival bitters they are entered into a free prize draw to win a limited edition glass tankard engraved with the Festival logo.
