 The Waggon Team is conveniently situated at the Lobley Hill Road roundabout on the A1. You can see our pub when on the A1. At the junction with New Road we are close to the Metro Centre, Gateshead and Newcastle City Centre. Built around 1930 and extended over the years we offer our clientele a modern pub with sofas and comfy chairs in the bar area, an open fire in the bar and range fire in the 200 seater restaurant. We are a popular dining venue, serving food every day from an extensive main menu. The Premier Inn, located next to the pub, is popular with business people, contractors and at weekends stag and hen parties. We offer breakfast to both residents and customers who walk in. As well as welcoming diners we have a locals following who pop in for a drink. We show Sky and hold a quiz night twice a week which is well attended.
