 The Lonsdale is conveniently located just outside
West Jesmond Metro Station. This is a popular venue with a really
good mix of regular locals, business people, passers by, visitors from the
nearby Gosforth races and students. In fact everyone of all ages can
find something to suit them here. Sport is particularly popular as
we have four big screens, a plasma screen and three other TVs to make sure
nothing is missed of the important match. We sponsor Lonsdale
Football Club and have links with the local Rugby club. For the more
energetic there are two pool tables to enjoy as you have a quality drink
with friends. Food is served from the main menu and specials board
and can be eaten anywhere in the pub. Our John Barras food offer
is well utilised during the week as are the discounted drinks. This is a well run, welcoming pub which is trouble free and
female friendly with a sociable atmosphere. Quiz nights are well
attended and the monthly live band draws in the crowds too. At
weekends there is a party feeling about the place. Many come and
stay for the night whilst others move on into Newcastle. With the
Metro nearby they have that option. Why not make it your first port
