The
Hotspur has a superb location in the centre of the City, close to
the Newcastle University
Campus! Built in 1892 there is a traditional feel about the place.
It is a one room pub with wood floors and an alley down the side which has
seating, a TV and heaters! Renowned for the choice of real ales, we have
eight at any one time and serve 350 throughout the year! Beer Festivals
are held about every three to four months which are very popular
occasions. The clientele range from students to shoppers and workers,
mainly in the over 25 age range. Watching Sport is the main entertainment here
and we have a 15 foot square screen as well as plasma screens to make sure nothing is
missed! There is no trouble here and we pride ourselves on the
female friendly, warm sociable atmosphere, along with the quality service and
excellent products. If you, too, are a connoisseur of quality beer, then
come along soon to enjoy a special treat at the Hotspur.
