 The
Gunner is located close to the centre of North Shields in a
residential area. Built as a pub in the early 1960s, this John Barras style L
shaped pub has a big screen at either end and a plasma screen in the middle. No chance of missing that very important goal! With pool, darts
and a leek club available along with the football there is plenty to occupy
everyone! On Newcastle and England match days the Gunner is absolutely
heaving... Served every day, food chosen from the main menu or specials board can be eaten anywhere
in the pub or out in the beer garden during the summer months. Our food offers
during the week are particularly popular. The clientele are very mixed and
include many from the disabled centre next door as we have good facilities for
them. Come along soon to this trouble free, relaxed pub and partake of a
meal or maybe a discounted drink whilst enjoying this sociable venue.
