Guide Post PhotoThe Guide Post is situated in the centre of the village of Springwell, between Gateshead and Washington.  We are easily accessible in both directions from the A194(M).  The building itself was built in the early 1900's and has always been an Inn.  The name is derived from the guide post which was used to tether the horses in those early days.  Today, it is a popular community venue with high ceilings and farm memorabilia on the walls which genuinely offers something for everyone.  Food is served from a core menu and our Sunday lunch is a particular family favourite with a choice of five roasts!  There is a separate bar with the big screen for showing all the major football matches and a pool table and darts board for a game with friends over a pint.  Other entertainment includes regular live bands and a weekly quiz.  This is just the place for a relaxed evening to be spent with friends or family in a trouble free, female friendly atmosphere.  See you soon.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
