 Eye on the Tyne is ideally
situated with great views over the Millennium Bridge and Quayside, close to
hotels from basic Travel Inns to the Hilton and in close proximity to the
Law Courts with the Old Chambers above us. Our aim is to offer a
professional friendly service in a modern city centre environment. With many
changes over the years (we have recently been known as the Wig & Pen and the
Bonded Warehouse), our extensive refurbishment in November 2006 has
created a sophisticated looking modern bar with a slight art deco look.
Open plan, there are leather couches and leather high stools and a step up
to the coffee shop and restaurant. Mellow background music day
and night adds to the relaxed environment on offer here. The coffee shop
is open all day from11am and excellent pub food, freshly prepared and cooked
to order, is served throughout the pub. Our varied main menu
offers everything from a bowl of freshly cut chips, to sandwiches or rib
eye steaks. You must come and see the changes for yourself!
