 The Bamburgh
is an impressive pub situated on
the seafront at South Shields. Having six windows overlooking the sea,
there are super panoramic coastal views and you can even see the piers!
Since the major refurbishment in June 2009 the pub has a new expanded family
dining area decorated in a contemporary cream, brown & maroon
colour-scheme. On the
lower floor there is laminate flooring and soft leather sofas. A place
to call in just to relax over a coffee if you wish. Food is served
from an extensive main menu and homemade Specials board with a children's
menu for our younger clientele. We have a good selection of special
offers available which are very popular. Having Cask Marque
accreditation you can be sure your real ale is served to perfection.
Alternatively there is an impressive selection of wines to complement your
meal. On the entertainment side we show all major matches on the big
and plasma screens plus other TVs and different games can be shown
simultaneously throughout the pub. There is a pool table to enjoy a game with friends and two quizzes are held each week
for those 'little grey cells'. With a big event every month, this
really is a pub to suit everyone. Make sure you come and see us soon
