Recommended Landlord’s Favourites:
Lasagne, Fish
& Chips and Spaghetti Bolognese
New Summer Dishes:
Chicken Breast & Crispy Bacon, Toasted
Tortilla wraps and our selection of filled

Or perhaps a Triple Decker Sandwich filled
with Fish fingers or Steak & fried onion.
From our New Wine Menu:
Rose Wines:
Zinfandel Rose from the US, packed with
raspberry flavours.
White Wines:
Pinot Grigio Garganega, great with our
grilled Chicken & Bacon salad and
Niersteiner, a perfect match to our Chicken
Tikka Masala.
Red Wines:
Cabernet Sauvignon, that will definitely
compliment one of our Aberdeen Angus burgers
a treat.

The
Anson is located in the centre of Wallsend on the main
cross roads. Fully refurbished in April 2007 the pub now has a brand new
contemporary look and more of an upmarket feel. We have a silver
theme throughout giving us more of a wine bar style, toned down with
burgundy colours. Exposed brick work and a graphics wall are new
features, and with fresh flooring / carpets and a complete re-paint inside
and out, the changes have to be seen! Still open
plan, we have a pool table, darts board and big screen for the Sport
connoisseurs. There are several raised areas throughout for dining
and conversation with new soft furnishings, sofas and comfy seating. During the week,
shoppers, business and local people pop in for a bite to eat, chosen from the
main menu and Specials board. As well as offering traditional
pub food such as burgers, sandwiches and steaks, there are more
continental dishes like bruschetta etc. Others prefer just to
come for a drink with friends or colleagues. People in the know come here
as trouble makers are not tolerated, making this is a trouble free and
female friendly venue with a relaxed, welcoming ambiance. Night time
is quite lively as many stay all evening if they are not going into
Newcastle or to the coast. Whatever you are looking for in a pub,
the Anson is a great place for a drink, a meal or a super night out.
See you very soon.
