Built in 1842 this is a traditional wooden style
comfortable pub.
We are large and spacious attracting a good mix of students, families
and locals. The Old Grindstone is
split into two sections. The top half has music and sports facilities
including pool tables & a snooker table. The lower half is much
quieter and ideal for good conversation between friends. Renowned
for our real ale we offer a fantastic selection, all of the highest
quality. A good quality menu is available Monday - Saturday until early evening and with
homemade specials we are the ideal place for a wholesome meal, and on a
Sunday you can fill up from our excellent carvery.
