 George & Dragon
is a small, traditional pub in Barnsley with a clientele of very friendly
local regulars who enjoy our choice quality drinks.
Passers by are also
made to feel equally welcome. As we say at
the George & Dragon 'enter a stranger - leave
a friend'. In late 2010 we extended our
seating area to create a new lounge / snug area.
We have a good choice of lagers and bitters as well as
cask ales. We make sure we keep available the ones
which
are popular with our regulars. The usual
entertainment such as pool, poker and quiz nights all
help to create a sociable and relaxed atmosphere.
Our pub pool team play weekly. Sky Sports
is popular for people wanting to watch that
important match and keeping up to date with sporting
fixtures. Children are welcome and in the
summer our beer garden, with piped music, is an ideal
spot to relax with friends. Well behaved
dogs are also welcome inside and out. Join us soon - you will be made to feel more than
welcome.
