The Cumberland is only a few minutes from Doncaster town centre, making this a popular venue for people starting their night out with a meal or drink before heading into town.  We had a refurbishment in October 2008 with a classy and stylish look.  Columns have been removed which has really opened the place up, creating a light and airy feel.  Bright coloured wall paper blends in well with the wood of the bar and furniture. The seating has a selection of sofas, fixed and high backed chairs with medium coloured wood giving a traditional yet contemporary feel.  The mixture of low lighting, spot and wall lights as well as the chandeliers create a lovely atmosphere.  We have separate family and adult dining areas with a middle section in between.  We are very food led now with great dining offers but will always give a welcome to people simply wanting a drink.  We also welcome families and offer a great children's menu as well as activity packs to make their experience fun and give adults the opportunity to relax and enjoy the meal in peace that bit more. The sofas in the bar area are great for relaxing whilst having a specialty coffee from our new coffee machine or a glass of wine from our interesting range.  The helpful, friendly management and staff look forward to serving you soon.
