The Tower was built in 1961 and named after Newby Norfolk Tower
which is just down the road. This John Barras style pub is sub-divided
into a public bar, which houses all things to do with Sport and a lounge bar
which is a family orientated area where children are able to enjoy a meal with
their parents. Both bars have a big screen to show all major
matches. Because of the central position our clientele are very mixed with
weary shoppers dropping in for a chill out drink or family groups coming for a
quick bite to eat. Shop workers and business people also spend their lunch
breaks with us and our food offer is always popular. For those with
limited time we accept food orders by phone or fax to fit in with a
busy day's schedule. Meals are chosen from a main menu and specials board
and can be eaten anywhere in the pub. The atmosphere is trouble free and
very relaxed. Just what is needed after battling with the shopping
crowds! If you return in the evenings there is a weekly quiz night and
several karaoke evenings along with occasional theme nights. Not a time to
be shy! Come along and join in the fun. Jackie and her friendly team
look forward to seeing you soon.
