 Monkton Lodge is just
a
mile from Monkton Village in Prestwick, an ideal location for
holiday makers and day visitors. It is situated on the West Coast of Scotland
and is a neighbour to Ayr and Troon. Prestwick has many places of interest
including Prestwick Old Course where the first Open Golf
Championship was played! The main town of Ayr is not far and we have
Royal Troon,
St Nicholas and St Cutherberts golf courses, among others. Being only
five minutes from the Airport and ten
minutes from the Ferry Terminal at Troon we welcome many business
travellers who are staying at the Premier Inn, particularly in the mornings
and
evenings, who appreciate breakfast and an evening meal whilst away.
Our more mature clientele enjoy having lunch with us. Having an indoor
Fun Factory and an outdoor play area makes us a very popular venue with
families, especially at weekends and during the school holidays, as our
younger visitors keep themselves amused for hours. Inside our decor is
a little more contemporary, not to the traditional Brewers Fayre theme.
We have bright colours on the walls and in the upholstery. This is an open plan pub with
seating for over 300 diners which includes a space for adult only dining in a little quieter
area than the family section. There is a plasma screen in the bar showing Sky
Sport News. Al fresco dining is also available to the front or back of
the pub during the long hot days of summer! Quality Brewers Fayre food is served at a reasonable price from an extensive menu and the
children's menu has appetizing choices for our younger visitors. We look forward to
