The Maltman is a traditional pub within Glasgow
City Centre. With an emphasis on food, regulars, shoppers and tourists spend
their lunchtimes with us having a meal chosen from the main menu and specials
board. Service is quick and efficient which enables business people, with
limited time available, the chance to enjoy a bite to eat in their busy day's
schedule. On the sports side there is a ten x eight foot screen,
plus a further four big screens to watch all major matches. Rangers and Celtic games
attract a good crowd as do the best of the English Premier league. Pool
and darts can be enjoyed on the mezzanine floor and there is another area to the
front of the pub where a small dance floor allows everyone to strut their stuff
at the weekend! Throughout the pub there are places to savour a tasty
drink from the bar and have a good conversation with friends whilst not being
drowned out by loud music. This popular John Barras style pub sells
itself as you walk in the door and feel the atmosphere. The relaxed
ambience of midweek is replaced by a more upbeat tempo with a 25 to 30's age
group at weekends but the trouble free status is upheld by door staff when
entertainment, well advertised live bands and major football matches are on the
menu. Why not drop in when you are next in the area and receive a fine
welcome.
