REFURBISHMENT |
We have been fully non smoking since New Years Day 2005. During 2006,
The Rising Sun underwent extensive renovation both inside and out to
return it to its former glory whilst keeping many of the original
features. The bar area with a
brand new cellar serves some excellent exceptionally well kept cask ales
including a good selection of continental lagers, bottled and on
draught. Our garden has also been redeveloped and landscaped.

At the rising sun we believe in
using only the highest quality produce bought in fresh daily
from local sources.
All our beef if from the prized Charolais breed and is hung on
the bone for 4 weeks to obtain that optimum flavour and
tenderness. Our
local farmer @ Shabden Farm supplies us with top quality pork &
lamb.
Our top
fishmongers ‘Simsons Fisheries’ land fish for us daily direct
from the boats on the South coast guaranteeing you the customer
the absolute freshest fish and seasonal vegetables and produce
are delivered daily by one of London’s premier suppliers based
in New Covent Garden. |

 You
will have no doubt noticed the extensive building works and renovations
carried out at The
Rising Sun
at Epsom during summer 2006.
The new pub layout is clean and modern while at the same time retaining the
traditional cosy quality it is famous for. We now boast an open fire
in the dining room, it feels really welcoming and creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Part of our renovations was a newly built state of the art kitchen. Our classically trained Chefs have worked in some of England’s best hotels and
restaurants. They prepare a varied modern style of cooking with influences
from France and Italy while still retaining the traditional classics we
Brits love. We are proud at the Rising Sun to offer our customers a menu
which is entirely homemade, something you sadly don’t see so often in pubs
anymore. Our ingredients are sourced from a number of reputable local
suppliers. We use a wealth of knowledge to obtain the very best produce
available at market daily.
We have a neatly landscaped garden which will prove to be very popular during the coming
warmer months, whether it’s for family lunches, alfresco dining or just
relaxing with a beer after work. The Rising Sun is located in a residential
road just an short walk from the centre of Epsom, close to the University
and Art's College. All staff at the Rising Sun look forward to your
visit and welcome you to a new era of modern British cooking.
