 Set
in the picturesque rural
location of Chipstead, with fields to the back and a country road to
the front, the Midday Sun is a very
welcoming place to visit. Outside we have really good floral displays
and indoors our real fires in the bar and restaurant create that homely
atmosphere. This Hungry Horse venue is well know for its quality pub
food and we are proud to hold the 'Kitchen of Excellence' award. One
of the top chefs in Greene King, Darren Vince, works for us to keep
standards high. Three members of our team also hold
the 'Operation of Excellence' programme and the last mystery guest at the pub
gave us an outstanding 100%. Our restaurant has 160 covers, with a
further 100 seats available outside in the summer for al fresco dining.
The menu offers our customers an extensive choice of dishes and with a
separate children's menu we are ideal for a family meal out. As well
as catering for diners we are a good community pub with varied entertainment
throughout the week including a different live band on every Saturday night.
