The Foley Arms is easily accessible on
the main road through the village of Claygate, just two
minutes from the railway station. Dating back to the 1780’s, the pub was
named after the landowners. It is an imposing corner pub which still boasts
a separate public and lounge bar. In every sense a traditional village
local, this impressive venue offers the best of British hospitality and atmosphere, with a
friendly welcome, good ale and delicious home-cooked pub food. Both bars have
real fires for added comfort in the cold winter months. The garden is a
welcome haven with a play area for the children, so you can relax while the
young ones play. Our food is all freshly prepared, with a range of homemade
dishes to tempt you and a classic Sunday lunch available with all the
trimmings. Folk and Blues are highly featured, with an award winning folk
club meeting here each week. Come and enjoy a real ale served to
perfection, a memorable meal and some first class folk music at the Foley
Arms soon.
