All of our Carvery joints come from
British Red Tractor Assured Farms that ensure the safety and
welfare of their animals, whilst protecting and caring for the
environment. We only source the very best British meats and
seasonal vegetables, so our Carvery offer changes every day.
Today’s roasted meats will be
usually a choice of 3 of the following:
Matured Saxon British beef, Norfolk turkey, Stuffed belly of
Norfolk pork, Leg of Yorkshire pork, Outdoor bred British gammon,
West Country shoulder of lamb.
All served with a homemade Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausage
and stuffing. Choose from a selection of freshly prepared
vegetables and potatoes. Top it all off with our roast onion (v)
or roast meat gravy.
Monday to Saturday £8.25.
Sunday £9.25.
If you do not fancy a Carvery meal
our Table menu has a comprehensive range of the best pub food
dishes. Why not try our 'Homemade Pie of the Day' served with
your choice of Carvery vegetables. |

 The Shepherd & Dog is a destination
food house situated in a rural location,
about two miles from the village of Nacton. Built in the 1960s and
fully refurbished to a high standard in April 2008. This is
a classic British carvery but with a contemporary twist, light and airy
with comfortable furniture and a sumptuous feel with walls decorated in
creams, sage green and chocolate brown. Our feature is the 'wine
wall' situated behind the carvery station. The restaurant seating
now provides a total of 140 covers. You can still also choose to
dine in the bar area from the table menu or take your carvery meal
through. Why not just pop in for a fresh coffee and maybe take
advantage of our free wireless internet access! Our new daily
carvery offers you the best of British produce, with a choice of up to 3
roasts and wide selection of fresh seasonal vegetables. If you
don't want a full carvery meal we provide a a table menu with main
dishes and snacks / sharers available. To complement your meal or
enjoy alone, we offer an extensive selection of world wines, choice of
fine real ale and premium draught lagers. The
atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and we welcome people of all ages.
