 The
Jolly Sailor is a traditional English pub, situated near the Quay at
Orford, part of the lovely Suffolk Heritage Coastline. Built in the late
16th / early 17th Century, this atmospheric old Smugglers' Inn is timber-framed,
the wood rumored to have come from ships wrecked nearby. Today our clientele
include walkers, sailors, fishermen and visitors from further afield who have
heard of our excellent cuisine and friendly atmosphere. We offer
traditional food including Orford's finest fresh fish such as Cod, Skate and
Rock Eel, plus a range of our own recipe dishes. You can enjoy your meal
throughout the venue, even outside during warm summer months you can eat al
fresco in the beer garden. If you are in the area come and visit us and
try out this rather special pub. You can even prolong your stay in one of our en
suite rooms and explore the area to the full. We look forward to seeing
