 The White Hart Hotel
is a former Coaching Inn dating back to the 16th century and is steeped in
history. It is reputed that during the rebellion of 1745, it served as the headquarters
for supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie and their leader, Sir William Bagott.
He was arrested at the White Hart, having enjoyed an excellent dinner.
We had a full refurbishment in June 2005, when the
bar has been tastefully
modernised. On the threshold of the Derbyshire Dales, the White Hart Hotel has much
to offer. The 50 cover restaurant also is available for
private functions and can seat more than 50 depending on the layout
required. We attract a large variety of people, many coming
initially for the special Two For One meal deal. This lets you
simply order two adult main meals to get the cheapest one free.
The test of our quality is that many return again and again! You
can choose to dine throughout the pub, in the restaurant or bar area. Just 8 miles from Alton Towers and 5 minutes from Uttoxeter race
course, we are surrounded by fishing, riding and other rural events, including one
of the oldest and largest open air markets in England. We have a wide range of
home cooked food, wines and real ales. Our hotel has 21 comfortable
en-suite rooms with full facilities. Our oak panelled surroundings
create a very elegant homely feel. All in a great family atmosphere.
