The Swan Inn, located in Stone, is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1771 when it was a warehouse to service the building of the Trent & Mersey Canal.  It was converted into a pub in 1851.  Totally renovated in 1999 and now a Freehouse with connections to John Joule & Sons (former Stone brewery), we serve our own "Joules" ales brewed from original Stones recipes with seven guest real ales available at all times.  The Swan is a lively traditional pub for the over 18's, with real fires in the winters and a relaxing beer garden for the warmer months. Geoff the publican arranges and hosts an annual beer festival in the second week of July each year.  Live music is also a very important part of our attraction, with original and cover bands playing four times a week.  We are keen to support new local up-coming bands - see www.myspace.com/swaninnstone for listings.  If you are in the area be sure to call in and try some special real ale and enjoy good live entertainment.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
