 Situated
just off the A34 at Junction 14 of the M6, the Shire Horse is an
impressive Chef & Brewer food house. Purpose built in 2002 we look
and feel much older than we actually are. With three open fires
and small secluded dining areas everyone can feel at home in the cosy olde worlde style surroundings. You can expect to be welcomed by friendly staff, be
offered a fine range of beers and real ales at the bar as well as being
shown a food menu full of choice. Like all Chef & Brewers we
employ high quality Chefs who not only prepare meals from the main menu
but rustle up unique monthly changing Specials. All our meals are
prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To
fully appreciate your chosen dish we offer a superb selection of wines
and, of course, tea or coffee to finish. The Sunday
roast is a particular favourite to people in the know and you are very
welcome to try it out too. Al fresco dining is preferred by many
during the summer with the pub having both a garden and patio. We
are happy to take bookings for large dining parties. We have a
Premier Inn next door which attracts passers by and business
people. Everyone is invited to our monthly big event which is
always fun. Our area is full of attractions such as Stafford
Castle less than two miles away, we are close to Staffordshire County
Show Ground and less than ½ an hour from Alton Towers and Trentham
