 The Seagull
Inn is a large, friendly pub
with a strong community spirit, situated in the seaside town of Porthcawl.
Most of our customers come from the surrounding residential area but we
have created a good community atmosphere which can be enjoyed by all.
Purpose built in 1974 as a public house there is a large open plan
layout with a maritime theme which is inspired by Mike, the publican,
who is a keen sailor! We offer honest pub grub which is served from a main
menu anywhere throughout the pub. All the food is sourced locally including our meat
which comes from Andrew Reef
Butchers. There are plenty of tables for dining at and you are welcome
to eat anywhere in the pub. Why not try our variety
of home made pies? We
particularly attract families as we have approximately two acres of open space
around us which is ideal for the children to play on nice days whilst the
adults sit back and relax. We also have the occasional BBQ, weather permitting, which
are popular given the space we have around us. As a result of a really
good community spirit at the Seagull, the staff and regulars are proud
to have raised
£40,000 for local charities. We have an annual Olympics Fun Day which
includes children's and adult games, live bands, karaoke, bucking bronco and
a
BBQ. We also have the most successful darts team in Porthcawl.
Weekly entertainment includes a very popular charity quiz, live
entertainment / karaoke. There is also a free exchange library
which is run from the pub. Regular fishing trip are arranged from
the pub too! Within one mile of the beautiful blue flag
