The Red Dragon is to be found by the M4,
two minutes from Bridgend Town Centre on a bus route with a convenient bus stop outside. Major
attractions are Coity Castle, an old Norman ruin close by and McArthur Glen
which is a few
minutes away. Being across the road from the Princess of Wales Hospital
this traditional looking community pub attracts a mixed clientele from
hospital visitors to the local regulars. There is a grand entrance
where the big porch has big concrete pillars on either side which leads into
the pub. Inside is open plan with a bar and
lounge area. There is a raised area suitable for parties and the bar runs the
length of the bar and lounge. The games area has a pool table and
darts board for your enjoyment. Food is chosen from a main menu and
Specials board and is served throughout the pub or outside in the beer
garden during the summer. This is a family friendly venue with an outdoor
children's play area with climbing frame and slide to amuse our younger
visitors. Come and try this trouble free pub soon and meet the friendly
staff and sociable clientele soon.
