Pendragon PhotoSituated in the more upmarket area of Thornhill, The Pendragon was built in 1983 and re-opened following a major refurbishment in November 2006.  Outside there are smoking and drinking areas which have been created to the same high standard as inside and include patio heaters under a glass roof.  Inside is now open plan with three separate areas which blend into one.  There are cubby holes around the pub for more intimate conversations, drinking and dining.  The refurbishment has brought the look up to date with a mixture of seating options including leather sofas dotted around and beautiful lighting.  Proud of our good reputation, it is possibly the friendliest pub you will ever enter.  We offer a range of real ales and are the first pub in Cardiff to be accredited by the Cask Marque and recognised by CAMRA, who regularly meet here.  This is a great community pub with sporting facilities which include a pool table, darts board and several TVs for showing sporting events.  We see everyone from council gardeners to company directors coming through the doors and there is something here for everyone from ages 18 – 80.  We have raised over £68,000 for local charities in the last four years which is a credit to the local people who come here.  Predominately a community pub that serves good food, the emphasis here is for the community. Come along soon and enjoy this very warm, friendly pub.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
