Merrie Harrier PhotoThe Merrie Harrier is a classic pub with hanging baskets outside at the corner of Penlan Road on the edge of the small town of Llandough, just outside Cardiff. This is a traditional ale house with a good reputation for food and beer.  The friendly team help create a good atmosphere.  Inside is open plan, traditional in style, with wooden bar and seating.  Because of our location we attract nurses, teachers and locals.  Once people have found us they tend to return as regulars.  Food is served from a main menu and homemade Specials board offering a range of freshly cooked dishes and a very popular Sunday carvery.  To accompany your meal you can choose from a good selection of wines or a range of cask ales.  With Cask Marque accreditation you can be sure these will be served to perfection! To avoid disappointment we take table bookings for meals.  For Sport enthusiasts we also show all major matches on the plasma screens and TVs.  Come and see us soon.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
