Try our Summer Salad selection topped with Grilled Chicken & bacon, Peri Peri chicken Skewers, Prawn Marie Rose or Sweet Chilli Beef
Or perhaps our toasted flour tortilla wraps for that light bite.

Try our Prawn & Creamy tomato pasta and for something extra special our huge All Day Breakfast.

From our New Wine Menu:

Rose Wines:
White Zinfandel Wandering Bear, great with our Red Cherry and Almond Tart and Pinot Grigio Blush, perfect for those long summer evenings.
White Wines:
Our own label Terra Alta Trebbiano a light and delicious wine and the low alcoholic Deakin Moscato.

Red Wines:

Shiraz Saam Mountain, fantastic with a grilled steak and for light and easy drinking the Terra Alta Sangiovese.

REFURBISHMENT

We re-opened 10th December 2007 following a refurbishment. With a new lighter, modern look why not come along and see the changes.

Although we do not have a private area, informal buffets during the day time on weekdays can be catered for in an area of the bar.

Photo Coming SoonMan of Gwent is situated on the outskirts of Newport about three miles from the City Centre on the A48, within easy access of Junction 24 of the M4.  We are also close to the historic town of Caerleon with it’s Roman ruins.  With 8 en-suite letting rooms we are a good stop off point for visitors and a great base for exploring the area.  Refurbished in December 2007, we have a light modern look with fresh neutral colours on the walls.  New furniture includes sofas and relaxed seating in the lounge area.  You can dine throughout the pub, although there is an area which is mostly used for dining.  We welcome passers by and families, having a children’s menu to offer them.  Our main menu offers a seasonal variety of dishes from salads in the summer to hearty mains for the winter.  A mock Tudor style building, with lots of hanging baskets and large tubs of flowers outside.  Be sure to call in when you are next in the area and sample some good food and a quality drink in sociable company.
