Situated
in the centre of Abergavenny, the
Hen & Chickens
is a
black and white 15th / 16th Century
building which has been extended over the years. Fully refurbished
including the function room in October 2005. Inside there is a bar, snug and an upstairs function room, all with individual
character. Furnished with traditional wood and pew seating this is a
great place to enjoy good old fashioned hospitality. Food
is freshly prepared and home cooked to order from a main menu and Specials
board and is served throughout the pub. Our monthly changing food
offer is a particular favourite especially when complemented by a choice
wine or a rather special real ale served to the highest standard. We
are on a circuit at weekends, attracting a younger crowd, but we generally
have a mix of ages and cater for everyone in this trouble free venue.
A female friendly and gay friendly venue, come and receive a warm welcome and maybe enjoy some live jazz when you are
next in town.
