 The
Church House Inn is situated on
Church Road in Saint Brides Wentlooge which is close by to
Newport. It is a good sized food destination and offers a lounge and
bar as well as two restaurant areas with 68 seats for dining. The
restaurants are ideal for parties such as birthday's, anniversaries etc. All
our food
is home cooked using prime Welsh produce. As well as the full
restaurant menu, bar snacks are available throughout the week both at
lunchtimes and in the evenings. This makes us a popular dining venue.
The building dates to the 12th Century and therefore is very quirky with
snugs for more private drinking or eating. It is traditionally
decorated to an olde worlde theme with hops hanging above, brasses on
display and welsh dressers. Children will find the farm interesting
with its guinea pigs, rabbits, chicken's, a very friendly goat,
kittens and cats. The pub is built on marshland so it is fairly
flat around
us which makes walks not too strenuous and us the ideal place to pop in
for food or a drink before or afterwards! The surrounding area is very peaceful with locals popping in.
We offer comfortable accommodation situated opposite the Church House
Inn with 7 en-suite guest rooms available. Newport is the nearest main town 3 miles away and Cardiff is in the
opposite direction, 4 to 5 miles away. Main attractions in the
area are
the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Bay area, a selection of 4 golf courses
at present around us, coarse fishing, sea fishing, cycling, plenty of
footpaths for walking and horse riding. Why not come and receive a
