 The Birchgrove
is a nice looking 1930's pub located in a
residential area just a ten minute journey from Cardiff city centre on the
main bus route.
Inside is large and open plan with a
separate lounge and bar as well as an indoor skittle alley.
Contemporary in looks with traditional wooden seats, the unusual and most
talked about feature of the pub is the large tropical fish tank in the
lounge area. This trouble free and female friendly venue will always
give you a warm welcome and as a community pub attracts a real mix of people
and ages. We are known for serving a good range of quality cask ales
to the highest standard which is appreciated by the real ale lover.
Food can be enjoyed throughout the pub and outside in the summer, weather
permitting. There is a variety of entertainment throughout the week
including quiz nights and regular live music along with the major matches
shown on the plasma screens and TVs around the bar which is very popular.
