White Hart Inn PhotoHere at The White Hart Inn we offer a traditional, old fashioned pub in the City, recently refurbished to a high standard with all modern facilities.  Centrally located we are right beside the bus station.  Parts of the building date back to 1174 and, once part of the church, the chapel house was purchased by two brothers in the 1600's and converted to an Inn.  One of the brothers was killed by the other in a dispute over land and his spirit is said to haunt the premises to this day!  Now though you will be greeted by friendly staff who are ready to welcome all newcomers to the White Hart.  There is a very mixed crowd with the daytime seeing plenty of business people, drivers, porters and nurses, who spend their lunch break with us.  Our good traditional pub food is available from both a standard main menu and popular express menu.  The delicious homemade beef burger is not to be missed!   After your meal, freshly ground coffee is served with an additional range of speciality coffees to choose from.  In the upstairs restaurant area there are comfortable leather couches and chairs to relax on whilst enjoying a quiet drink and perhaps a read of the papers. Background music is played and each area is set to a different volume which accommodates everyone's mood.  Our atmosphere is great and you can come to the White Hart any time to enjoy our traditional hospitality, being rare in a city centre pub.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

When you visit the pub please let the staff know you have seen it on Pub Explorer.
