An old
merchant house, The
Shakespeare Tavern is
located in the centre of Bristol by the docks.
With a fantastic atmosphere, everyone is made to feel welcome in this
popular trouble free pub. Freshly
cooked, hearty pub food is served daily from our own extensive menu
which includes old favourites such as our steak & ale pie. The
menu changes regularly, so there are always new dishes to choose from!
During weekday lunchtimes and throughout the day workers and business
people enjoy spending their dinner hour here by dropping in for a bite
to eat or a quiet drink. We have four real ales on offer
and are a Cask Marque award winning pub. This 17th Century pub with traditional features, such as oak
beams, is in
the evening time an excellent place to soak up the atmosphere and have a
good drink with friends. Regulars include dockers and boatmen who like
to relax after a hard day at work. If it's a town pub with long-established
values you are looking for, then the Shakespeare is always well worth a
visit.
