The
Old Pound Inn is ideally situated on the
main A372 Bridgewater to Langport road, in the small olde worlde village of
Aller. Everyone is welcome here with families and the disabled
catered for. Attractive en-suite
accommodation is available and comes with the AA and Tourist Board Three
Diamond award. Top quality cuisine is prepared by our two full time,
very highly qualified chefs, from fresh local produce wherever
possible. A huge choice of food is on offer from our A La Carte menu
or traditional pub food menu which includes fish and steaks. Sunday
lunchtimes are open for beef, turkey and lamb special meals which really
take some beating. The Old Pound Inn is steeped in history. In 1571 it was an
Inn and Cider House and the building was
extended in 1756. Our beer garden even used to be part of a cattle
compound. We had further developments in 1980 when accommodation and
a function room were added. Over this time it has retained its
traditional features but with modern comforts. Whatever your reason to visit us, a warm welcome
awaits you at The Old Pound Inn.
