The
Lock Keeper is ideally situated just ten minutes drive from
Bath or Bristol and a five to ten minutes walk to Keynsham or the
railway station. A destination dining venue, this unique, very old listed building is on an island between the lock and the weir.
With plenty of character, inside is traditional with some modern
features. The glass conservatory to the back is very modern and mostly
used for dining. The huge beer garden and the beautiful decked area
overlook the weir and can seat up to 400 people. Both attract a vast
number of clientele throughout the summer for both drinking and dining.
To the rear, behind the car park, is a further green owned by us
which overlooks the river, where people can sit and enjoy a refreshing
drink. Famous for our food, we get regular diners from surrounding
areas such as Bristol, Bath and Cardiff. All our food is freshly
prepared and cooked to order and we offer a wide variety of dishes with
specials such as quiche, lasagne, rib eye steak, Italian pasta and fish
dishes. Because of our popularity bookings can only be taken
during the autumn, winter and spring months. Throughout the
summer live bands appear on the decking area, which is very
popular. The Lock Keeper is more exclusive than other pubs in the area
so be sure to come
and visit us soon.
