Langford Inn PhotoLangford Inn
is a destination food house to be found, off the beaten track, in the tiny hamlet of  Lower Langford, some six miles from Bristol airport.  We are not far away from the Mendip hills, Wookey Hole, Cheddar and Weston Super Mare.  Historically the building dates back to 1870 when it was the original Coaching House in Langford.  Inside there are about four small areas, nooks and crannies, with oak beams, panelling and a couple of open fires.  Outside we have a south facing enclosed walled beer garden with patio heaters.  An ideal spot to relax on a warm summer's evening and dine al fresco or just enjoy a real ale served to perfection.  Staff are from the local area and we are rightly proud of our award winning reputation for food, hospitality and service.   Our clientele include many local regulars, passers by and visitors from further afield.
All the food is freshly prepared to order, in-house, right down to our homemade chips!  We source ingredients from local suppliers like A. David from the West country for fruit, vegetables and general provisions, Bristol meat traders for all meat which is reared within a 50 mile radius and award winning fishmonger M&J for the seafood.  The main menu includes our own recipe steak & kidney pudding, beef & ale pie, beer-battered fish, lasagnes etc.  The Specials board's main emphasis is on fish, usually including oysters and tuna.  Complete your meal with a homemade dessert such as fruit crumble, spotted dick or treacle pudding!  When you return for more, the fantastic Sunday lunch with our four meat platter is not to be missed!   This is surely a venue to put on your 'must try soon' list and is well worth a visit.
