 The Castle is situated on the St Philips Causeway in Arnos Vale, a suburb of Bristol. This distinctive old building is hard to miss. Originally stables for the Lord of the Manor, it was designed as a fake castle and built out of black slag from local mines with a chapel, turrets and flag posts! Today, the inside is large, bright and modern with a U shaped bar. Since our refurbishment and change of concept to a Flaming Grill pub you will find many new and exciting changes here. We attract an interesting mix of clientele, including business people during the week who often spend their lunch breaks enjoying a meal or drink with colleagues. Come the weekend or on entertainment nights, there is a lively younger crowd who enjoy the party atmosphere. We always maintain good standards here. No baseball caps are allowed, there is CCTV and we have doormen to ensure a fun time is had by all.
